Minister of Economy and Finance
Kyriakos Pierrakakis serves as Minister of Economy and Finance of the Hellenic Republic in the Cabinet of Kyriakos Mitsotakis since March 2025. He is also a Member of the Hellenic Parliament.
From 2023 to 2025, Pierrakakis served as Minister of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports, where he led major legislative reforms to modernize Greece's education system. Previously, from 2019 to 2023, he served as the country's Minister of Digital Governance, spearheading Greece's digital transformation, during the COVID-19 pandemic. He was appointed Chair of the OECD’s Global Strategy Group Meeting in 2021, a role he was re-appointed to in 2024. In this capacity, he led a forum of senior officials working to shape the organization's strategic response to global challenges and fostered cooperation among OECD member states.
Prior to his ministerial appointments, Pierrakakis was the Director of Research at the independent non-profit think tank diaNEOsis. Kyriakos Pierrakakis holds a Master of Science in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (2009), a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government (2007), and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the Athens University of Economics and Business.

Christos Dimas
Christos Dimas is a lawyer and a Member of the Hellenic Parliament with Nea Demokratia, representing the district of Corinthia. He was born on 29 May 1980. He graduated from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as well as from Queen Mary University of London. He obtained his Master's degree in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
He also completed his PhD in European Politics from LSE, with a scholarship from the Alexander Onassis Public Benefit Foundation. The title of his PhD thesis is: "National institutional contexts and domestic discourse during proposed transformative policy change. The case of the telecoms' privatization in Greece and the Republic of Ireland."
In parallel to his studies, he worked as a London correspondent for the newspaper “Apogevmatini” and did a journalism internship at the BBC.
At the age of 25, he was an assistant lecturer at LSE, teaching first-year students the course "Introduction to Comparative Politics". He has also taught the course "Mass Media and Social Regulation" at ICON College, University of Leicester to postgraduate students and was a research fellow at the Jean Monnet European Centre of Excellence. He has scientific publications in Greek and international scientific journals.
Before entering politics, he worked in the private sector as a business consultant for "The Boston Consulting Group (BCG)", a strategic consulting firm.
He was elected as Member of Hellenic Parliament for Corinthia with New Democracy in the May and June 2012 elections, and has been continuously elected since then.
- From July 2019 to May 2023, he served as Deputy Minister of Development and Investments, responsible for Research & Innovation.
- From June 2023 to June 2024, he was Deputy Minister of Culture, responsible for Contemporary Culture.
- From June 2024, he was Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance.
- From March 2025 until today, by decision of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, he has been Minister of Infrastructure and Transport.

He is an attorney-at-law, with postgraduate studies at Harvard Law School, Harvard University.
He has worked for more than three decades as a legal advisor in the private sector, specialized in corporate law and capital markets, both in Washington D.C. and Athens.
He was appointed as Head of the Prime Minister's Office of European Affairs and International Relations and served as chief negotiator of the Greek state with the European partners and the International Monetary Fund, in 2012-2015.
He served as Secretary of International Relations and the European Union of New Democracy Party (2004-2012). He was elected Chairman of DEMYC (Democrat Youth Community of Europe, 1997-2001), he was a founding member of the Youth of the European People's Party (YEPP) and a member of the Political Council of the European People's Party.

Panagiotis (Takis) Dimitriou Theodorikakos is Minister of Development and Member of Hellenic Parliament of Athens B3 Constituency (South).
He was elected in the 2023 national elections with 47.300 votes and was ranked second.
He was Strategy and Communication Advisor to the President of ND since October 2015 and Coordinator of Strategic Planning and Communication of the party, from October 2016 until the victorious election contests of May and July 2019 when he was elected as Member of State of the ND.
- In July 2019, he was appointed by the Prime Minister Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakis as Minister of the Interior.

Dimitris Papastergiou was born in 1973 in Trikala.
He graduated from the Polycladic Lyceum of Trikala and the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA (National Technical University of Athens). At the same time, he attended journalism courses, while he maintains strong ties with technology and the internet, a relationship that was strengthened at the Multimedia Laboratory of NTUA.
In 2001 he built and presented, together with a group of his colleagues, the first integrated website for the Prefecture of Trikala, 3kala.gr.
Since 2002 he has been practicing the profession of Electrical and Computer Engineer in the city of Trikala. He was involved in studies and construction of private electromechanical projects and the creation of software programs. In 2007 he entered the field of renewable energy and has constructed more than 300 private renewable energy projects.
His involvement in the community began in 2002, with his election to the City Council. He was re-elected in 2006, and in 2014 he was elected Mayor of Trikkaion and member of the Board of Directors of KEDE. He was re-elected Mayor in 2019 and, in the same year, he was elected President of the KEDE.
He is married to the engineer Soula Brakis and is the happy father of Faye, Kostas and Nikos.
From June 2023, he is Minister of Digital Governance in the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Konstantinos Kyranakis (born 19/4/1987) is a graduate of the Law School of the University of Athens with a postgraduate degree in strategic communication from the American College of Greece. He has worked as a freelancer in the field of digital marketing, website and application development.
He was a co-founder of the BrainGain initiative for the return of young people to Greece.
He served as President of the Youth of the European People's Party from May 2013 to May 2017.
In January 2017, the international magazine Forbes selected him among the 30 most influential people under 30 in Europe, in the Law & Policy category.
In the 2019 parliamentary elections, he was elected for the first time as a member of parliament in the Southern Sector of Athens B and was re-elected in the elections of June 25, 2023.
He served as Deputy Minister of Digital Governance, while since March 15, 2025 he has assumed the duties of Deputy Minister of Transport.

Pavlos Marinakis was born in 1988 in Patras. He graduated from the Democritus University of Thrace Law School. He has practiced law for over a decade specializing in Criminal Law. After the general election of the 25th of June 2023 he was named Spokesman of the Hellenic Government and in January 2024 he was appointed Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister responsible for Media and Communication.

Nikos Tsafos serves as Deputy Minister of Energy in the Ministry of Environment and Energy of the Hellenic Republic, a role he assumed on March 15, 2025. He previously spent almost three years as the chief energy advisor to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Mr. Tsafos has worked in energy since 2006, primarily in the United States, and is a widely recognized expert in market analysis, due diligence, and the intersection of energy and geopolitics.
He spent over a decade as a consultant specialized in natural gas, working with major energy companies such as ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, Total, Eni, and many others. He also spent around four years advising the Alaska State Legislature on the landmark Alaska LNG project.
From 2016 to 2019, he was an adjunct lecturer at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Between 2018 and 2022, he worked at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, one of the world’s premier think tanks. In 2021, he was appointed to the James Schlesinger Chair for Energy and Geopolitics, a position he held until returning to Greece in 2022.
Mr. Tsafos has testified before the U.S. Senate on natural gas issues and the Canadian House of Commons on critical minerals. In 2021, he was selected for the Climate Advisory Committee of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, on which he served until his return to Greece.
For several years, he has been one of approximately 100 peer reviewers for the World Energy Outlook, the most authoritative assessment of the global energy market, published annually by the International Energy Agency.
He holds a B.A. in international relations and economics from Boston University and an M.A. in international relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS.

Athanasios Dokos received his Ph.D. in International Relations from Cambridge University andIhas held research posts at the Peace Research Institute of Frankfurt (1989-90) and the Center for Science and International Affairs (CSIA) at Harvard University (1990-91). He served as the Director for Research, Strategic Studies Division, Hellenic Ministry of National Defence (1996-98) and as an Advisor on NATO issues to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1998-1999). He was also a NATO research fellow for 1996-98. He was the Director of Research (1999-2006) and then the Director-General of the Hellenic Foundation for European & Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) [2006-2019]. He has taught at the Universities of Athens and Piraeus, the Hellenic National Defence College, the Diplomatic Academy and the Hellenic National Security Academy. Since October 2020, he is the National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of Greece. In October 2023, he was appointed by the Secretary General of NATO to the Expert Group in support of the comprehensive and deep reflection on NATO’s southern neighbourhood. In May 2025, he was appointed Secretary General for National Security.

Alexandros Diakopoulos is the Executive Chairman of the Hellenic Aerospace Industry, Vice Admiral (Ret.) of the Hellenic Navy, and a seasoned expert in defense, foreign policy, and national security. Until 2003 was a director of the HELLENIC TECHNODOMIKI-TEB Group. He was INTRAKAT’s CEO from 2003 to July 2022 and Member of the BoD of INTRALOT SA Group from 2008 to 2019. Since 2010 he holds the position of CEO of KEKROPS SA and from 2019-2022 served as Vice Chairman of the BoD of ATHENS RESORT CASINO HOLDINGS SA and HELLENIC CASINO SA. Michael Thomadakis is the Strategy & Development Chief Officer of DESFA, since 2020. Formerly, he was the Vice Chairman and Member of the Board of RAE from 2005 to 2015, member of the BoR of ACER, the CEER General Assembly, the Board of MEDREG, the Board of Appeal of ACER and Chairman of the Investment Group of the Energy Charter. He has extensive experience in the development of the gas regulatory framework of the Greek gas market, and deeply involved in corresponding developments in South East Europe, especially in the regulatory framework for several gas infrastructure projects related to the Southern Gas Corridor. Started his carrier in DEPA, were he worked as the contractual administrator of the Gas Procurement contracts from Russia (pipeline) and Algeria (LNG), the LNG transportation contracts, the development of underground gas storage, the derivation of transportation tariffs and on the establishment of the Gas Distribution Companies in Greece. He is a Mechanical Engineer of NTU Athens with a PhD from the same University. In 1992 he joined Elpen Pharmaceutical Co. and presently is the Vice President and co CEO of ELPEN Group. In 2024, ELPEN Group had a turnover of 430,000,000€. Konstantinos Xifaras has been leading DEPA Commercial S.A. since 2019, having assumed the role during a pivotal period for the Greek energy market.
